Ami U. Ndukwe

Ami Ndukwe is a litigation and international arbitration attorney in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He advises multinational corporations on complex commercial disputes, high-stakes regulatory investigations, and compliance matters. His practice spans the technology, environmental, and financial sectors before both domestic and international tribunals.

Mr. Ndukwe brings a distinct global perspective to his practice, regularly managing cross-border disputes across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has successfully navigated matters before the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and the General Court of the European Union, while advising clients on corporate governance, enforcement actions, and regulatory compliance. 

Prior to joining Musick Peeler, Mr. Ndukwe was counsel at Gryphon Law and practiced in the London offices of international firms Hausfeld & Co., Dentons, and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, focusing on antitrust litigation and financial-market disputes.

Representative Matters

Represented a Dutch medical device company against US distributor in an ICC arbitration seated in London.

Represented a California construction company in a dispute arising from a large infrastructure development project.

Represented a UK technology company in follow-on antitrust litigation against Google, related to the European Commission's 2017 (Google Shopping) decision, determining abuse of dominance and a €2.42 billion fine.

Represented several multinational corporate groups in the European Trucks Cartel aggregate litigation against global trucks manufacturers including Volvo/Renault, Daimler, Fiat-Chrysler, Scania, DAF and MAN.

Represented the successful intervener (amicus) in the UK Supreme Court in one of the leading cases addressing environmental damage from oil spills in the Niger Delta.

Advised the UK's largest bank in relation to over 50 individual High Court proceedings across England & Wales, in addition to compliance and regulatory review projects.

Represented a Russian company and its Estonian subsidiary in relation to the enforcement of a JAMS international arbitration award in California.

Represented a California manufacturer in relation to a dispute against a Canadian distributor.

Advised a Canadian financial services start-up in relation to a dispute against a payment services provider.
