Partner, Los Angeles Office
Angela Kim is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Litigation Department. She brings over 25 years of experience defending Fortune 500 companies as well as businesses of all sizes in the defense of product liability claims, employment claims, invasion of privacy claims, and commercial
disputes. She has also represented and consulted with large and small entities in the entertainment industry relating to core issues of their business. Angela also has extensive experience in representing non-profits as well as defending medical professionals and attorneys in malpractice claims.
Prior to joining Musick, Peeler & Garrett, LLP, Angela was the managing partner of the Los Angeles office and was on the Board of Directors of a California firm with 5 offices statewide.
Ms. Kim has represented networks, producers, creators, distributors and financiers in all media, including television, music, motion pictures and digital media. Her clients included production companies, program suppliers to television networks and cable networks, individual artists, writers, and performers. She has successfully negotiated contracts and counseled on behalf of production companies, producers, performers and writers in television, music and motion pictures, and negotiated
license and production agreements on behalf of her clients. She has consulted on marketing and product integration matters and managed risk management issues for movie and television projects. She has also had Motions for Summary Judgement granted based on waivers, releases and lack of breach and causation on behalf of a network, producers, creators, production companies and financiers.
She has been AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell since 2013.
