Teri L. Witteman is a partner in the Firm's Los Angeles office. The primary focus of Ms. Witteman’s practice includes corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings, securities law compliance, corporate governance, real estate and general corporate law. 

Ms. Witteman has represented clients in the foodservice, hospitality, restaurant, medical device, real estate, media and entertainment industries in connection with business acquisitions/dispositions and corporate finance. In addition, she has served as outside general counsel to clients advising on day-to-day operational matters, including supply chain and customer agreements, real estate sales and leasing, non-disclosure agreements, IP and licensing, equity plan administration, banking and finance, as well as longer-term business succession planning. She has advised boards and leadership teams on matters involving operations, strategy and corporate governance. Ms. Witteman’s public company representation includes advising clients on securities law compliance, listing requirements, insider trading, corporate governance and SEC filings.

Before joining Musick Peeler, Ms. Witteman was an attorney with Anglin Flewelling Rasmussen Campbell & Trytten LLP and prior to that with Latham & Watkins where she worked in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.  She also was an associate at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), an international real estate services firm, where she handled real estate portfolio management and lease negotiations on behalf of commercial tenants.  Additionally, Ms. Witteman served as in-house counsel for Sega GameWorks, a location-based entertainment company, guiding the company in the areas of private offerings, equipment and bank financing, intellectual property, employment, equity plan administration and corporate governance.

Ms. Witteman is a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Governance Fellow, demonstrating a commitment to boardroom excellence by completing NACD’s comprehensive program of study for directors and corporate governance professionals.
