Nasim Tourkaman is a litigation associate in the Firm’s Orange County office. Ms. Tourkaman’s experience encompasses a broad range of practice areas, with a focus on labor and employment, construction, and business litigation.
In the labor and employment arena, Ms. Tourkaman defends employers against claims for discrimination (disability, age, sex), harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. She also defends employers against unfair labor practice claims brought before the Public Employment Relations Board.
With respect to construction matters, Ms. Tourkaman defends developers, contractors, subcontractors, and owners against a variety of claims ranging from construction defect to negligence and premises liability.
Ms. Tourkaman’s business litigation practice includes handling matters involving breach of contract, business torts, and fraud claims.
Ms. Tourkaman began her litigation career in the public entities group of a Sacramento civil defense firm. She then continued her practice within the civil litigation department of an Orange County-based firm prior to joining Musick Peeler.
Ms. Tourkaman attended UC Davis School of Law on the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. During her time there, she obtained the Editor Excellence Award for her work on the UC Davis Business Law Journal wherein she served as an Articles Editor, Publications Director, and Senior Articles Editor. She also received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence for achieving the highest grade in her judicial process class.
