Marcio Vasconcellos is an associate in the Firm's Los Angeles office. He is a member of the the International Arbitration and Business Litigation Practice Groups. His areas of practice include international arbitration, international litigation and commercial law, particularly in the construction and technology sectors.
Mr. Vasconcellos practiced for several years in Brazil before relocating to California. Prior to joining Musick Peeler, Mr. Vasconcellos was a junior associate at Baker & McKenzie in Brazil (Trench, Rossi & Watanabe) and a partner of a boutique commercial law firm, specializing in mergers & acquisitions and arbitration.
He speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently and is also proficient in Italian.
Mr. Vasconcellos teaches “International Commercial Arbitration – Theory and Doctrine” at Pepperdine University School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in the LL.M. program and also co-teaches “Advanced Oral Advocacy” at USC Gould School of Law, also in the LL.M program.
In addition, Mr. Vasconcellos is the team coach for Pepperdine’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna and in Hong Kong and also coaches the team for American University Washington College of Law LL.M. International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition.
