Kenneth L. Perkins, Jr.

Partner, Orange County Office

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Ken Perkins is a partner in the Firm's Orange County office.  Mr. Perkins is a member of the Firm’s Academic Institutions, Business Litigation, Employment and Real Estate practice groups.

Ken‘s goal in every matter is to solve the client’s business problem as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. This requires identification of the client’s business goal at the beginning of the matter and then efficiently working toward that goal.

Different cases may need different approaches.  Many disputes can be resolved through negotiation and settlement, perhaps before a lawsuit is filed.  Others require litigation, sometimes through trial.

For over 35 years, Ken has advised and litigated on behalf of clients.  Though Ken has worked with a wide range of businesses, many from one of or more of the following categories:

• Printers and others in the graphics arts industry • Colleges and universities • Property owners and managers • Employers • Trade associations

If it’s helpful in meeting the clients’ needs, Ken can involve associates, to perform appropriate tasks at a lower rate, and partners from other firm practice groups, including corporate transactions, employment, and real estate transactions, to provide additional expertise, if needed.

Ken graduated from the University of California, Irvine and the University of Southern California School of Law.

Recently, Ken completed “Mediating the Litigated Case” through the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University.

Ken is a member of the State Bar of California, the Orange County Bar Association, and the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA).

Ken is resident in the firm’s Orange County office.  He routinely handles matters throughout Southern California, sometimes Northern California and, occasionally, other states.

Musick Peeler has been solving its clients’ business problems for over 65 years.  It has offices in downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Ventura County, Santa Barbara and San Francisco.
