Bobbie Hooper is a Senior Associate in the Firm’s Orange County office and a member of the Litigation Practice Group. While Ms. Hooper has represented corporate defendants in a wide variety of litigation matters, including intellectual property, she has a specialized focus in product liability and the automotive industry.
With a background as a staff engineer in accident reconstruction, Ms. Hooper enjoys the challenge of learning the technical issues involved in product design and performance. She has represented clients in cases throughout California involving restraint and occupant retention systems, handling and stability, roof integrity, and crashworthiness. Ms. Hooper has also represented clients involving products outside of the automotive industry, such as firearm holsters, drug test kits, farming equipment, and other types of machinery. She is experienced with all facets of file handling from inception all the way through trial where she has received defense verdicts as well as dismissals by way of summary judgment.
Ms. Hooper obtained her Juris Doctor and Certification in High Technology Law from Santa Clara University School of Law, in 2005, where she graduated summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, and in the top 5% of her class. She served as the articles editor for the Santa Clara Law Review.
Ms. Hooper is a member of both the California Bar and Patent Bar (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office - Reg # 55,142). She is additionally admitted and licensed to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California.
