Experience

LouCinda Laughlin is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Her 23-year practice in the insurance coverage litigation area has focused on construction defects, environmental claims and business torts. Ms. Laughlin advises insurer clients of their pre-litigation rights and obligations, and represents insurers in insurance declaratory relief and bad faith litigation.

Ms. Laughlin has represented domestic insurers and the London Insurance Market and London companies in coverage litigation, environmental cases, and a wide range of construction–defect cases and first-party claims. Ms. Laughlin has been lead trial counsel in many complex coverage actions, and has argued before the California  Court of Appeal. She has also assisted clients in drafting policy language and in drafting amendments to statutes for consideration by the California legislature, as well as writing insurance coverage articles.
