ExperienceDavid M. Lester is a partner in the firm’s Orange County office. His practice includes representing and advising public and private employers on a variety of labor relations and litigation matters including class action wage-hour, trade secrets and unfair competition, sexual harassment and sexual battery, disability discrimination and family leave, state and federal employment discrimination and harassment, union organizing and collective bargaining, wrongful termination, workplace violence injunctions, personal service agreements, layoffs, and sale and purchases of businesses. Mr. Lester has been lead counsel on a variety of litigation matters and has prevailed on a number of arbitrations, jury trials, and appeals. Mr. Lester specializes in the representation of hospitals, colleges, and universities. Besides being in charge of litigation, Mr. Lester counsels clients on day to day employment issues to help them prevent unnecessary litigation. Mr. Lester has provided training on preventing sexual harassment and disability discrimination requirements, drafted handbooks and personnel policies, spoken to numerous groups on a variety of current employment issues, and he has published articles in a variety of legal publications and law journals.
