GREGORY J. PATTERSON
PARTNER
ExperienceGregory J. Patterson is a partner and resident manager of the firm’s Ventura County office located in Westlake Village. He is a member of the Environmental and Public Law Group and the Litigation Group. Over the past 20 years, he has focused his practice primarily in the area of environmental law at both the state and federal level. He represents businesses, cities and school districts on land use, air and water issues under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, state and federal water quality laws, state and federal clean air act laws, the Hazardous Waste Control Act, the California Environmental Quality Act and Proposition 65.
He experience includes compliance and due diligence counseling and representation before administrative agencies, advice on brownfields and redevelopment of environmentally impaired properties and representation of individuals and companies charged with criminal and civil violations of environmental laws.
He also represents numerous clients in general business litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, lost profits, and real estate disputes.
Mr. Patterson currently is an appointed member of the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District Advisory Board. He is active in the Ventura County Association of Water Agencies and is a member of the Ventura and Los Angeles County Bar Associations.
While attending Southwestern University School of Law, Mr. Patterson was member of the SCALE program, an accelerated two year program. He graduated first in his class in 1988.
