Laura K. Kim

Laura K. Kim is a partner in the Firm's Los Angeles office. Ms. Kim's principal area of practice involves the litigation of tort, construction, consumer warranty and fraud cases, business disputes and the defense of professional liability actions. She also practices in the areas of real estate and commercial transactions, as well as California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"). Ms. Kim regularly represents professionals, retail manufacturers and dealers, academic institutions and universities. She also has over 15 years of experience handling insurance matters, including analysis of coverage and defending bad faith actions. 

Ms. Kim understands the complex interface between CCPA and existing requirements of federal and state levels on privacy issues. She regularly advises clients in privacy issues arising under CCPA. While practicing law in New York, Ms. Kim was an associate in a litigation defense firm for several years, where she gained extensive experience in all phases of civil litigation, including the areas of products liability, torts and construction litigation.
